As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Rush is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to people who have COVID-19, as well as sharing important and accurate information you can trust.
The Latest COVID-19 Updates from Rush
All three Rush hospitals — Rush University Medical Center, Rush Copley Medical Center and Rush Oak Park Hospital — continue to take the steps needed to safely deliver care to all of our patients. The safety of our patients and staff remains our top priority.
- Masking: With community transmission levels of seasonal respiratory viruses currently low, masking in most hospital areas is currently optional for patients and visitors. Mandatory masking be reinstated in the future as circumstances demand. See our visitor policies for details.
- It’s safe to come to Rush for your care: Rush has successfully maintained the safety of our patients and staff at all of our Rush locations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve maintained a number of safety measures at each hospital and clinic to keep you safe.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Symptoms
People with COVID-19 show a range of symptoms — from mild to severe.
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus and may include:

or difficulty breathing
