As a part of Rush's mission to provide comprehensive, coordinated health care to our patients, we offer several different payment options and programs to help patients with their health care costs.

Pay online

Rush makes it easy to pay your bill online. We provide various options to make your payments:

  • Payments: Make a secure, online payment using your credit card or checking account.
  • AutoPay: Set up secure, automatic payments and never worry about missing a payment.
  • Payment plan enrollment: Accept a payment plan to pay off a high balance.
  • Paperless billing: Choose to receive your monthly statements electronically.

Estimates and Visit AutoPay

At Rush, you may receive an estimate for your visit when you schedule your appointment. 
 
You can sign up for Visit AutoPay to automatically be charged what you owe up to a certain amount – no need to wait for a statement or bill.
 
When you schedule your appointment, if you receive an estimate you will have the option to sign up for Visit AutoPay through MyChart (if you are scheduling online) or at the clinic.

Frequently asked questions about Visit AutoPay 

  • Can I cancel my Visit Auto Pay agreement or change my payment method after I have signed up? 
    • Yes, you can change your payment method or cancel your Visit Auto Pay agreement in MyChart or by calling Customer Service at (312) 942-5693.
  • What if my credit card expires before the automatic payment happens? 
    • We will notify you, and you can update your payment method from MyChart or by calling Customer Service.
  • What if my Visit Auto Pay agreement ends before my insurance pays? 
    • We will notify you and won’t charge you automatically. We will send you a bill for the full amount you owe.
Rush University Medical Center

Rush University Medical Center allows you the option to pay your hospital bill online using MyChart. If you are a new user, you can access MyChart by following these steps:

  • Visit MyChart.
  • Choose the sign-up option
  • Use the activation code found on your hospital bill.

Charges on your bill

With Rush’s single billing office, you will receive just one bill, which will summarize both your physician charges — inpatient and outpatient services — and hospital charges — procedures, radiological exams and lab services.

Please note that while your physician charges and hospital charges are consolidated into just one bill, you may still receive separate bills from other medical specialists. If you have any questions about your Rush bill, please call our customer service representatives.

Bill and guarantor statements

After we receive payment or denial of payment from your insurance company, we will send you a statement with your remaining balance due. On a monthly basis, we will send you a guarantor statement that summarizes all of your visits with your account balances.

Our customer service representatives are available to answer your questions about your hospital bill and payment-related concerns, including requesting a copy of your hospital bill.

Before you contact us, please have your patient account number or patient visit number, which can be found at the top of any correspondence you receive from our billing department.

Pay your hospital and physician bill

For your convenience, we offer several options to manage your bills and make payments:

  • Access your account: To pay your bill, view recent insurance and personal payments applied to your accounts or update your accounts if your personal information has changed, you can log in here.
  • Pay without enrolling: We also provide the option to make a payment without signing up. You can make a payment now here.

Billing and financial matters

Financial assistance: Rush Copley Medical Center provides financial assistance if you meet the requirements and are without health insurance or are underinsured.

Need health insurance?: You have new options for coverage — the health insurance exchange and the expanded Medicaid program.

Rush Oak Park Hospital
