• Your birth control choices: We understand that choosing the best birth control option can be a difficult decision. Our providers offer contraceptive counseling to help you identify the best birth control options for your current needs and lifestyle.
• Complex contraception: If you have a complex medical condition or take medications that might interact with your birth control, our providers have the expertise to care for you. This can include if you have cancer, obesity/gastric bypass, rheumatologic disease, neurological disease, organ transplantation, cardiac or pulmonary disease, bleeding/clotting disorders, or other medical issues. We also specialize in difficult contraceptive implant removals and difficult IUD insertions or removals.
• Expert abortion care: If you receive an abortion, we ensure your care is in a safe and supportive environment. Our team provides first- and second-trimester abortion care, and medical and surgical options. We can also provide emotional support before, during and after the abortion. If you are experiencing fetal anomalies, we can connect you with perinatal bereavement support. No matter where you live, we will care for you. There are self-pay options available, and we can connect you with resources for travel, emotional and financial support.
• Access to hospital-based abortion care: Rush has partnered with local hospitals and the Chicago Abortion Fund to provide the Complex Abortion Referral Line for Access (CARLA) — a patient referral center that helps patients seeking complex abortion care at hospitals in Illinois.
• Care for pregnancy loss: If you think you may be experiencing a miscarriage, our team can diagnose and treat you. Our providers offer both medical and surgical options to manage your miscarriage as comfortably as possible. We also can treat you if you’re experiencing pregnancy loss in the first and second trimesters. After losing a pregnancy, you may need additional support, guidance or medical expertise. Our team can connect you with other specialists to address health issues related to pregnancy loss.
• Treatment of ectopic pregnancy: We diagnose and treat all forms of ectopic pregnancy, including complex cases of cesarean scar and cervical ectopic pregnancy.
• Sexual and reproductive health care for young adults: We understand that young people have unique needs when it comes to sexual and reproductive health. Our team provides gentle and compassionate care for young adults. We also can help treat painful and irregular periods.
