The 2023 RUSH Copley Employee Giving Campaign, “The Promise Starts with Me,” runs from Dec. 4-18. The campaign’s name originates from the RUSH Copley Promise — a commitment employees make to all patients, their families and guests to do everything possible to provide compassionate, exceptional care.
“Our employees are just incredible,” said John Diederich, president and CEO of Rush Copley Medical Center. “I am so proud to work with these good people. Each year they donate more than $100,000 to support our patients and community through the RUSH Copley Foundation.”
One of the features of the campaign — and a beloved tradition — is the annual Festival of Giving Wreaths. Decorated wreaths adorn the hospital’s Main Lobby windows and add a festive touch, with over 90 beautiful wreaths currently on display. The wreaths are decorated by employees, donated and then raffled off to lucky winners. Throughout the two-week campaign, there are also musical performances, vendors and special Gift Shop sales for patients, visitors and employees to enjoy.
Employees are invited to contribute to one of the 17 funds managed by the RUSH Copley Foundation or to three local community partner organizations. The funds support vital programs that benefit patients, community members and employees, including Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center, the RUSH Copley Movement Disorders Program, the Dr. Santosh Gill Fox Valley Heart Fund, which supports cardiovascular services for the underserved, and more. Many of the programs are funded exclusively through philanthropy.
Employees’ generosity is completely voluntary, and every contribution — regardless of size — carries a profound impact. The focus of the campaign is on employee participation and to raise awareness of the many programs that benefit our patients and community.
These events — coupled with our ongoing commitment to providing the highest-quality care and comfort to our patients and community — embody the true essence of the season.
