For the fourth consecutive year, Dr. Omar Lateef, president and CEO of Rush University System for Health and Rush University Medical Center, has been named to Modern Healthcare’s list of 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.

The program recognizes individuals from across the U.S. “deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare  to be the most influential figures in the industry in terms of leadership and impact.”

“Our list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare reflects the important contributions of the men and women who have helped shape the industry in 2024,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare, considered a "must-read" by many in the health care industry.

Lateef’s nomination emphasized his role expanding the Rush reach — making care more accessible through a robust digital experience strategy, new locations and extensive partnerships, including one with RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The complete list can be found in the Dec. 9 issue of Modern Healthcare.
