Although she has only been working at Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center for one month, program coordinator Deanna Cross already knows she enjoys her work.
“I enjoy meeting and establishing relationships with the participants,” she says. “It’s important to me to be a part of providing programs and services that benefit individuals and the community.”
Cross comes to Waterford Place with a bachelor’s degree in social work and more than 20 years of experience in the health and human services field. In her new role as program coordinator, she is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating services offered at Waterford Place. She also creates the quarterly program guide.
Cross has a passion for helping people and says she most enjoys providing direct services to participants and their families.
“The programs and services offered at Waterford Place are so beneficial to individuals affected by a cancer diagnosis,” she says. “I work with a group of amazing providers who are vested in providing the best services possible to our participants.”
When not at work, Cross enjoys spending time with her husband, son and friends.
“I feel very blessed to be a part of Waterford place,” she says. “I’m thankful for the relationships I’ve built with our participants over the last month and look forward to continuing to get to know all of our participants.”
