Personalized Treatment Plans
We focus on understanding your goals and matching them with a customized speech therapy plan that empowers you to regain freedom and achieve a better quality of life.
Young adults through geriatrics can receive therapy for a variety of needs including: motor speech disorders, aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, cognitive deficits, and dysphagia. You may also benefit from speech therapy if you have been diagnosed with stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury or multiple sclerosis.
- Swallowing: From clinical to videofluoroscopic swallow evaluations, our swallowing team provides a comprehensive assessment into your swallowing difficulty and works with you to develop an individualized therapy plan.
- Speech/Language/Voice: Following a stroke or brain injury that may cause aphasia, apraxia or dysarthria, we can work with you to develop the best means for you to communicate while improving your expression and comprehension. If you have Parkinson’s disease, we can help you increase your speech volume.
- Cognition: Following a stroke or brain injury, speech language pathologists will work with you and your family to improve your problem solving, memory, reasoning and thinking skills.
Our Speech language pathologists are certified to use Lee Silverman Voice Training® (LSVT), an innovative and clinically-proven method for improving voice and speech in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The use of this technique requires specialized training and has been beneficial with the treatment of other conditions as well including stroke and multiple sclerosis.
