Marquis Pitts is from West Garfield Park and has partnered with Rush to create the Rush Center for Community Well-Being at Sankofa Wellness Village. This center will offer comprehensive support including mental health services, health programing, and career pathways for his community.
Julia's Story
“The most rewarding piece of doing a food distribution is being able to see happy people walk away with the food that they need for their family.”
Julia Bassett is the system manager of Health and Community Benefit and director of the Food Is Medicine program at Rush. Bassett and her team are working to create sustainable and accessible pathways to nutrition so that people can live healthier lives.
