Clinical Trial Protocol Description:

Determine prevalence of IVtPA coagulopathy in acute ischemic stroke patients as defined by lab markers (fibrinogen and INR) and characterize the relationship between IVtPA coagulopathy and intracranial hemorrhage on neuroimaging in acute ischemic stroke.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria:

In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have an acute ischemic stroke indicated by a CT or MRI.

You will be excluded from the study if any of the following criteria apply to you:

  • Are unable to consent to participate or do not have legal representative to consent.
  • Are unable to have blood drawn per the timing of the study protocol (4 labs drawn every 4 hours).
