Clinical Trial Protocol Description:

The purpose of this study is to determine how inflammation contributes to the evolution of PML. MRI and MR spectroscopy will be performed to identify signs of inflammation in the central nervous system. Subjects will also undergo a dense array-EEG to look for seizure activity. Additionally, a blood sample of 30 mL (about 2 tablespoons) will be taken to measure the subject’s immune response against the virus known to cause PML.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria:

In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:

  • Are at least 18 years of age.

You will be excluded from the study if any of the following criteria apply to you:

  • Have opportunistic brain lesions not due to PML.
  • Have any metal implants or a cardiac pacemaker.
  • Are pregnant.
  • Have dreadlocks or corn row hair styling.

This is a partial list of inclusion and exclusion criteria.
