Clinical Trial Title

Growth of Epithelial Organoids from Human Colon of Healthy Controls, IBD and Colon Cancer Patients

Contact Information

Clinical Trial Protocol Description:

The purpose of this study is to establish a disease targeted model system by growing human epithelial organoids from collected colon tissue. Epithelial organoids are three-dimensional (3-D) “mini-intestines” that can be grown from cells in a lab. This will allow us to better understand the development and progression of various gastrointestinal (GI) diseases.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria:

In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:

  • Are an adult undergoing a clinically-indicated colorectal surgical resection, colonoscopy, or a research funded flexible sigmoidoscopy.

This is a partial list of eligibility requirements. To inquire about your eligibility, please call the contact number provided. If you wish to inquire via email, please include the title of the study in your message.
