Clinical Trial Title
Growth of Epithelial Organoids from Human Colon of Healthy Controls, IBD and Colon Cancer PatientsContact Information
Clinical Trial Protocol Description:
The purpose of this study is to establish a disease targeted model system by growing human epithelial organoids from collected colon tissue. Epithelial organoids are three-dimensional (3-D) “mini-intestines” that can be grown from cells in a lab. This will allow us to better understand the development and progression of various gastrointestinal (GI) diseases.
Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria:
In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:
- Are an adult undergoing a clinically-indicated colorectal surgical resection, colonoscopy, or a research funded flexible sigmoidoscopy.
