The Rush Approach to Pediatric Genetic Services

If your child is suspected to have a genetic condition, you want expertise and accuracy, starting with a diagnosis. Our clinical geneticists — physicians trained to identify and manage genetic disorders — will guide your family through evaluation and the complex world of genetic testing before determining a plan for your child’s diagnosis.

Following diagnosis, the Rush team will support you with coordinated care. Your child’s medical providers, including a clinical geneticist and pediatric specialists, will create a treatment and therapy plan to provide the best outcomes for your child. And our pediatric genetic counselors will help you understand your child’s diagnosis and discuss support resources available to you.
