RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center’s brain tumor team includes providers specializing in neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology and neuropathology to provide comprehensive care to patients with various types of brain tumors. A multidisciplinary brain tumor board meets weekly to discuss the medical and surgical management of complicated brain tumor cases. This multidisciplinary approach to treatment of complex brain tumors allows the team to focus not only on chemotherapy, radiation and other treatment options that keep cancer cells in check, but also address the neurological impact the cancer and cancer treatments can have on movement, cognition and even personality.
