The program is designed specifically for the needs of individuals who have a current alcohol and/or other substance use problem. The clientele who utilize the services at our downtown Chicago office come from very diverse backgrounds. We provide specialized services for impaired professionals (physicians, law enforcement, attorneys, bankers, stock brokers, etc.) and services for people from industry and small businesses (union employees, sales and marketing, administrative and support staff, etc.).
All individuals entering our program complete a comprehensive assessment and then are provided with individualized treatment recommendations designed for their situation. The program addresses the needs of the whole person (medical, psychiatric/psychological, social, and spiritual) in order to arrest the disease of addiction and assist in the initiation of necessary life changes to achieve a positive recovery. All Rush Behavioral Health (RBH) programs are abstinence based and teach and encourage participation in twelve-step recovery groups.
Program Structure
There is no one-size-fits-all program that is effective. We provide multiple levels of outpatient care:
- Partial hospital (also called day hospital)
- Six-hour-per-day intensive outpatient (daytime or evening)
- Three- to four-hour-per-day intensive outpatient (daytime or evening)
- Two-hour sessions once or twice per week (low intensity)
Additionally, we have specialty groups and family services available. All of these services can be mixed and matched to meet the specific treatment needs of our patients and their families.
